The Software Engineer is primarily tasked with the development of new prototypes for our web infrastructure; for the development and upgrading of systems supporting new client products and services: and for development, maintenance, and enhancement of web services. Position will primarily be focused on prototyping, new product development, and the upgrading of internal technology tools, with emphasis on interfaces, such as front-end processing and middle-tier software. Major responsibilities and time/effort focus: 50% software design and development; 20% software unit testing; 15% software re-architecture; 15% software maintenance and upgrades.

To be seriously considered, a candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent education and/or experience, with a minimum of 6 years of proven software engineering or programming experience. REQUIRED: extensive experience in JSP, AJAX, PHP, Java, ORACLE PL/SQL Data Architecture, and FLEX. Desirable: MySQL, JBOSS, PORTLETS, Google API toolkits, Struts, SOA/REST, and authentication, Windows and Linux environments. Familiarity with Rapid Applications Development processes and tools including SCRUM is preferred.

Proven skills with web reporting tools, JFree Charts, AM Charts, Google Chart API, and MS Office Automation also desirable.
