Laurel Lucrezia Honored as Healthcare Industry "Rising Star"

Healthcare Businesswomen's Association lauds InfoMedics' vice president of US pharmaceutical sales

READING, MA – Laurel Lucrezia, vice president of US pharmaceutical sales at InfoMedics, Inc., the patient feedback company, will be honored as an industry Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) at its 2009 Woman of the Year award luncheon on Thursday, May 7, at the New York City Hilton.

HBA Rising Stars are professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education and market research, among other fields, and represent various career stages and disciplines.

"Laurel is being recognized by her company, peers and colleagues as a Rising Star because she is an outstanding professional who demonstrates exceptional dedication to improving the quality of the healthcare workforce through action and commitment," said HBA President Ceci Zak.

Each year, HBA Corporate Partners are invited to nominate a Rising Star. The nomination demonstrates recognition by their company and colleagues of the outstanding performance, commitment to excellence, and the energy and enthusiasm with which the Rising Stars approach their activities on a daily basis and contribute to their companies' success. They are inspiring leaders who are role models to others and are recognized for their vision, dedication and action.

Lucrezia has 15 years of experience in business development and management consulting in a variety of industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical and telecommunications. In her seven years with InfoMedics, she has advised pharmaceutical brand teams in the design of specialized marketing and adherence programs over a wide range of therapeutic categories. In her current role, she is responsible for sales and business development with InfoMedics' key strategic accounts. She holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in applied science (kinesiology) from Simon Fraser University.

Also to be honored at the luncheon are the HBA's Woman of the Year, Deborah Dunsire, MD, of Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company, and the HBA's Honorable Mentor, Alex Gorsky of Johnson & Johnson. In addition, this year's Star Volunteer award will go to Barbara Pritchard of The Pritchard Group/Intermedica, Inc.
