Gene Guselli, Co-Founder, President, CEO:
Mr. Guselli has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in the 1970's Mr. Guselli was the Director of Professional Services for the Boston Medical Center where he oversaw a variety of medical support services such as biomedical engineering, laboratories and radiology. Mr. Guselli then became the Assistant Deputy Director for Professional Affiliations at the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation where he oversaw the contractual relationships for the provision of physician services provided by the medical school establishment to the NYC network of municipal hospitals. Mr. Guselli then assumed the position of Senior Consultant to the Health Data Institute, a private corporation which pioneered the use of medical claims data in the development of national managed care networks. In 1985 Mr. Guselli became the operating founder, President and CEO of Private Healthcare Systems,Inc.(PHCS). For the next decade Mr. Guselli provided the executive guidance which established PHCS as the leading national PPO/EPO. In 1995 Mr. Guselli co-founded and was named President and CEO of InfoMedics. During the last decade Mr. Guselli has pioneered the use of technology-driven Patient-Physician communication platforms in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Guselli has served on numerous boards in the private and non-profit sector including the AAPPO and Matria Healthcare, Inc. He frequently consults and contributes to a variety of published articles and papers in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Mr. Guselli received his B.S. and MBA from Northeastern University.
Robert Friedman, MD, Co-Founder, Senior Scientist:
Dr. Friedman has more than 20 years experience in information development systems that meet varied, essential needs of the healthcare industry. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Public Health at Boston University, Chief of the Medical Information Systems Unit, and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics. Dr. Friedman was a founder of IDX, Inc., a major supplier of clinical information systems to medical group practices and hospitals throughout the U.S. He was among the first developers of information systems that assist researchers in conducting clinical trials. Dr. Friedman advanced the use of computer-based telecommunications systems to monitor patients with chronic disease, to improve patient compliance to their medication regimes, and to improve patients' self-care behavior. He has devoted the past more than 20 years to studying how to use totally automated systems to communicate with patients and physicians and improve their intercommunication. He has been the recipient of numerous research grants from the National Institutes of Health and has over 80 publications in scientific literature.
Michael Ball, PhD, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management:
Michael Ball, Ph. D., joined InfoMedics in 2005 to lead the company’s strategic marketing and product development efforts. He has more than 30 years of experience in science and technology, with an in-depth background in medical device, molecular medicine and clinical informatics in both the U.S. and Europe. Ball has had considerable success in growing businesses that serve the pharmaceutical industry. Ball previously served as VP of Marketing and Sales for Ardais Corporation of Lexington, MA. Prior to that, he held senior marketing and business development positions at Phase Forward, Inc. and Sensormatic. Ball holds a Ph.D. from London University and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Aberdeen University.
Robert Bedford, Senior Vice President, Sales & Client Relations
Mr. Bedford joined InfoMedics in 2006 to develop and lead InfoMedics' corporate sales strategies and new business development planning for the company. He brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical and medical education industries and recently held several positions at organizations delivering live and web-based educational and promotional solutions to the life sciences industry. Prior to joining InfoMedics, Bedford held the position of Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing at Lathian Systems and Vice President and Business Unit Director at Cardinal Health. He also held a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility at leading pharmaceutical companies like Knoll Pharmaceutical Company and SmithKlineBeecham. A recognized industry expert, Bedford frequently speaks at pharmaceutical summits and conferences about sales and marketing leadership, particularly focusing on new and emerging technologies. Mr. Bedford received his BA from University of South Carolina and his MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph's University.
Anton den Boggende, CPA, Vice President of Finance & Administration:
Mr. den Boggende joined InfoMedics in December 1999, where he is responsible for finance and accounting, risk management, reporting, treasury and financial control activities of the company. Prior to coming to InfoMedics, he served as the Corporate Controller for Lionbridge Technologies, where he assisted in their IPO. Mr. den Boggende held various senior level finance positions at Sybase over a five year period, such as Director of Finance & Administration, North America with a $500M revenue base and Director of Business Operations for Professional Services, a $230M division. Prior to Sybase, Mr. den Boggende was employed at Deloitte & Touche in their auditing practice where he gained 2 years international experience in their Rotterdam, the Netherlands office and 6 years in their Boston office. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Foreign Specialist (equivalent to Dutch Registered Accountant) and holds a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Paul LeVine, Vice President, Analytic Services:
Mr. LeVine is Vice President of Analytic Services for InfoMedics, Inc. He has worked for over 20 years in a variety of settings within healthcare, including the pharmaceutical and managed care sectors, as well as in government. Having spent the majority of his career focused on the analysis of data and the ability to leverage information to inform business decisions, LeVine is also an experienced pharmaceutical market researcher and an accomplished writer. He has authored many articles and abstracts for scientific, business, pharmaceutical, and health care industry trade publications. A recognized industry expert and dynamic speaker, LeVine frequently speaks at pharmaceutical summits and conferences about emerging uses of technology and communications to improve the patient-physician relationship, always keeping an eye focused on measuring the impact on brand awareness, physician behavior, and prescription writing. LeVine joined InfoMedics in 1996 and continues to be an instrumental member of its senior management team, focusing on strategic business development and the creation of new analytic tools designed to meet the changing needs of the health care marketplace. Mr. LeVine holds a Master's Degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree from Oberlin College.
Louis MacDonald, Chief Financial Officer:
Mr. MacDonald joined InfoMedics in September 1996. Prior to coming to InfoMedics, Mr. MacDonald was a consultant for various information technology companies in the area of business operations. Mr. MacDonald spent seven years at Sybase, Inc., a leading client/server technology company, as Vice President of Finance and Operations for SQL Solutions (Sybase's Tools and Consulting Services subsidiary), and as Controller for the World Wide Professional Services Division (with revenues of $140 million per year). During his tenure at Sybase, the company was among the fastest growing technology companies in the world, increasing revenues from $27 million to $1 billion per year. Mr. MacDonald holds a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts and a MBA from Suffolk University.
Chip Sheerin, Vice President, Services and Technology:
Mr. Sheerin has 20 years of experience in the management and implementation of software technologies & services. Previously, Mr. Sheerin served as Director of Engineering at Mobility Software, a mobile/wireless start-up company. Prior to that, he served as R&D Engineering Manager of the Network and Ethernet group at Schneider Electric, a world leader of manufacturing automation and technology solutions. Prior to Schneider Electric, he has held key management positions at several software engineering companies. Mr. Sheerin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Stanley Wulf, MD, Vice President, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Wulf is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Cape Town and completed his residency at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. After establishing his private practice and serving as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California, he was appointed Medical Director with Private Healthcare Systems, and also as Medical Director for Professional Risk Management. Dr. Wulf joined InfoMedics as Vice President, Corporate Medical Director in 1996 to provide clinical direction in product development, implementation, and operations. He was appointed Chief Medical Officer in 2004, and heads the medical team responsible for program content development.
Jeanne Zucker, Sr. Vice President, Strategic Business Development:
Jeanne Zucker is a member of the founding management team at InfoMedics. She is currently responsible for strategic business development, identifying new markets and partners for the company's unique service offering. Zucker is also responsible for working with InfoMedics clients on enterprise-wide offerings which allow pharmaceutical manufacturers to leverage patient-physician communications and link their investments in professional and consumer marketing. Prior to InfoMedics, Zucker spent nine years at Private Healthcare Systems, where she gained extensive experience in building and delivering network provider programs to the healthcare industry, specifically commercial payers. Prior to PHCS, she worked at The Health Data Institute, actively involved in claims data analytic services. A graduate of Wellesley College, Zucker is active in the Healthcare Business Women's Association (HBA). She has served on several HBA committees and will be participating as one of the event co-chairs for the 2007 Leadership Conference.
